And the Small Business Nonprofit Website Winner Is…

Posted on:

After carefully going through the nominations made by you, the Frederick community, the 270net team has chosen our winner of a free website:

The Birthing Circle!

The Birthing Circle works in the Maryland/DC/Virginia communities to improve birth outcomes and build community. They offer peer-to-peer support for moms and families during the ante-partum and birth process, and provide doula services for low-income women during childbirth.

“At 270net, we believe that helping our local non-profit organizations builds a stronger, healthier Frederick community. By helping non-profits create smart, great-looking websites, they can attract volunteers and donors to further their missions and assist more people,” said Ken Malnar, 270net CEO.
“We are thrilled to be partnering with the Birthing Circle, a group that does exceptional work to help improve birth outcomes for the families of Frederick. Healthy moms, healthy babies, and healthy families are all an important part of a strong, thriving community, and 270net is happy to help them continue their great work into the future.”
Jessica Kent, president of the Birthing Circle, said, “The Birthing Circle began as a startup nonprofit in 2016. We have seen exponential growth and are now the largest perinatal support nonprofit in the state of Maryland! But with this amazing expansion has been the struggles of working to keep up with all tasks required of running a nonprofit while still excelling at the work itself. Receiving assistance and a serious upgrade to our website through 270net has been such a blessing, and we can’t wait to see how it helps us fulfill our mission of improving birth and building community!”

We currently are in the beginning stages of creating their new website, so check back in a few weeks for the final results!

Now, On to Quarter 4!

We’re not stopping the charity website effort with Quarter 3 – We’re already looking forward to and planning for Quarter 4!

That’s where you come in!

Just like last quarter, we’re opening up nominations to our local community. If you know of a non-profit organization that could use a free, professionally designed and copywritten website, we want to know about them!
