As president and CEO, it’s hard to sum up everything Ken does. To put it simply, he does all of the day-to-day operation and management of the company, business development, and high level oversight and management on government projects. Ken strives to create and maintain a challenging, creative, fun and rewarding work place environment for 270net employees. Ken’s vision for 270net is to provide employees with opportunities to use their skills and talents to create and deliver top-of-the-line solutions for our clients, and to provide unmatched customer service and response. Additionally, and perhaps most importantly, he tries to win all of the office fantasy sports leagues.
Ken started 270net in 1996 after serving 7 years in the Navy running nuclear reactors on submarines and then spending 15+ years starting up commercial nuclear power plants and working as a nuclear safety consultant. Ken was self-taught in database development and programming while in the nuclear power industry, which led to the creation of 270net. Our first contracts were with Argonne National Laboratory and the Department of Energy and were related to nuclear safety.
Ken has a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, with significant coursework in engineering technology from the University of the State of New York. In addition to all of this, he loves to spend time with his kids (when they let him), play all kinds of sports (mostly basketball and tennis), watch sports (football!) and read.
