It’s December, meaning for the past two months stores have been selling eggnog, Josh Groban CDs and… the hottest tech gadgets. This year I’m seeing a lot of great TVs and tablets as well as off-the-beaten-path options such as the Garmin GTU 10 GPS Tracker (a little homing device with a 4-week battery life). But what are the real Fredericktonians in your life craving this year? I polled the staff here at the 270net office; here are the results of this excessively scientific poll.

Mark Williams (Program Manager) – “I’d ask for a Kindle Fire. Actually, I’ve already ordered one. It should come this week. My wife hates it when I do this to her right before Christmas.” We all hope you enjoy your tie, Mark!

Kindle Fire: $200

Tina Cline (IT Technician) – “I’d love a 64 GB black iPad with a navy leather smart cover.”

From Apple: $898

Mike Van Slyke (Director of IT) – Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3. Julie (Graphic Designer and Mike’s wife) said this would be allowed as long as Mike promised “not to turn into one of those creepy gamers who no one sees for days at a time.” To which Mike replied, “So, it’s a no then?”

From Amazon: $58

Monica Spilman (Internet Marketer) – “Wow, compared to the rest of you all I’m greedy! As long as we are wishing, I’ll take a Mac Pro with Quad-Core processor and dual 27-inch Thunderbolt Displays.”

From Apple: $4,497

There was a vote for a dSLR camera from Nikon and one for a lightweight laptop (that was me). There were two votes for the iPhone 4S as well. All in all it appears Apple is high on the wish lists this year. Again.
